Aluminum / Magnesium TNF Tweeter
SOFT AND PRECISE TREBLE
The suspension that connects the dome to its mount is made of Poron, a shape memory material. This suspension is derived directly from the famous Utopia beryllium tweeter, reducing distortion by three between 2000 and 3000 Hz, the range of great sensitivity of the ear. The spatialization and low directionality of the inverted dome allow for silky highs to be heard from anywhere in the listening room.
Slatefiber Membrane
THE PERFECT SOUND BALANCE
Focal's exclusive Slatefiber technology is based on the use of recycled non-woven carbon fibers, sandwiched between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. In their quest for perfection, Focal engineers have chosen to use non-woven carbon fibers oriented in the same direction to improve stiffness and damping.
Manufactured in Focal workshops with state-of-the-art production equipment, this 'slate'-look membrane provides greater rigidity and damping and is also lighter, the three keys to a good loudspeaker.
A CLEAN AND MODERN DESIGN
The design of the Chora line is modern, and stands on an inclined support for the Time Alignment that allows to optimize the sound scene, focusing it more on the listener. The slate color of the Slatefiber membrane adds a refined touch of authenticity.
