Furutech FI-E50(R). Power connector.
NCF Piezoelectric Ceramic Series Connectors.
Furutech's Pure Transmission FI-E50 NCF Piezo Ceramic series connector bodies and housings feature several innovative construction techniques.
A multi-layer non-magnetic stainless steel and silver-plated carbon fiber housing incorporates a special insulating and shock-absorbing acetal copolymer. Furutech settled on silver and stainless carbon fiber for the outer shell after extensive listening sessions with Japanese industry figures and audiophiles.
The body of the connectors incorporates an "active" damping material: Formula Nanocrystal² - nanocrystalline, piezoceramic and carbon powder.
Nanocrystal² Formula - NCF powder is a special crystalline material that has two "active" properties. Firstly, it generates negative ions that eliminate static, and secondly, it converts thermal energy into far-infrared, making it the ultimate electrical and mechanical damping material.
Nanocrystal²'s formula eliminates static energy, "interconverts" thermal, mechanical, and electrical energy, and dampens vibrations, all for the best pure Furutech transmission signal imaginable.
Floating Magnetic Field Effects: Furutech's Ground-to-Ground Bridge System
How far will Furutech's engineers go in their attempts to achieve the benchmark quality of Pure Transmission?
His concentrated examination of each and every element of signal transfer has resulted in another revolutionary technology, the Furutech Earth/Ground Jumper System. Eliminates EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) induced on metal parts such as connector housing screws.
The current flowing through the power connector creates a magnetic field, just as an isolated conductor creates magnetic and electrostatic fields. Furutech engineers discovered that this magnetic field induces a current flow (and a small magnetic field) in the screws that hold the connector. These magnetic fields interfere with the larger magnetic field around the conductor and connector.
Furutech's undivided attention to detail and elegant engineering solve the problem perfectly. The ground-earth jumper system connects the fixing screws to a ground terminal inside the plug, completely eliminating the field disturbances they cause. Stray fields are connected to ground by a series of interlocking parts within the connector that connect to the ground conductor. The bridging system is available on Furutech SCHUKO power connectors.
The ground-ground bridge system has US Patent No. 6,669,491 / European Patent No. EP1445837.
