The A10 projects itself squarely into the future, while maintaining easy usability. While its classic design remains timeless, it fuses an ECC81/12AT7 tube preamp with a powerful 2x130W Class AB push-pull amplifier. Essentially, it combines the best of both worlds. Modernity is further evidenced by a microprocessor that manages all functions via a central encoder, which is accessed by short or long presses to navigate through the menus.
The A10 offers a wide variety of inputs: 6 analogue on RCA, including an MM phono with three capacitance settings (100, 200, 320 pf), a symmetrical line on XLR, and 5 digital, including 3 optical, one S/PDIF and one USB audio. It also has a connector for a Bluetooth XFTB01 aptX or XFTB02 aptX HD receiver. In addition, a USB-A port allows MP3 audio files to be played from a Walkman or USB drive.
An original feature is the possibility to activate two HDMI inputs in the system settings menu, allowing the connection of a DVD player to take advantage of the A10's audio signal quality, as well as an HDMI ARC to connect a display with the CEC protocol. Options for adjusting loudness, bass, treble, and auto standby time are also found here.
The A10 offers the flexibility to connect two subwoofers and modulate the output separately at the preamp or amplifier. It also includes a fixed Rec Out output intended for cassette recorders, MiniDiscs, or other devices. On the rear, the High Bias switch activates the Class A bias on the first few watts of the power amplifier.
The A10 excels in power quality, with a 15 cm toric transformer and tracking filtering by four 6800 μF / 71 V capacitors, as well as multiple, well-filtered settings for each circuit. This attention to detail ensures optimum performance and an exceptional listening experience.
