AUDIO RESEARCH i/50. Reference stereo integrated amplifier with modular architecture
Manufactured entirely by hand in the USA, the I / 50 is a stereophonic integrated amplifier that has been built with the same attention to detail as all other Audio Research products. On the other hand, the modular design of the I / 50 allows the installation of two very high quality dedicated modules: a phono stage with 42 dB of gain and a D / A converter (which will arrive in 2022). Thanks to its high current delivery capacity, the 50 continuous watts per channel supplied by the new Audio Research allows it to easily drive a wide variety of loudspeakers. The I / 50 has been designed to be extremely easy to use, incorporating three controls on its top panel: start up, select the input source and adjust the volume level, to which you have to add a take headphone volume. Two LexieTubes® provide on-screen input source and volume level information, while two pairs of paired 6550WE power tubes and three double 6922 triodes are positioned in front of the perforated cover of the power transformer trio and the two output transformers. I / 50 connectivity is embodied in three unbalanced line inputs with RCA connectors, one balanced line input with XLR connectors, and separate terminals for 4- and 8-ohm impedance speakers.
