The VT80SE is the improved version of the VT80 model, one of the most popular Audio Research amplifiers among absolute sound enthusiasts worldwide. The most important change contributed by the VT80SE is the improvement of the output valves, with the imposing KT150 replacing the KT120 of the original model. The "love story", to call it somehow, Audio Research with the KT150 is reflected in the fact that it is used in four other models of the brand, from the stereophonic integrated amplifier VSi75 to the huge monophonic power stage REF 750SE, as a result of its incomparable features and a lifetime of 3,000 hours that provides years of uninterrupted listening. As far as circuit topology is concerned, the VT80SE uses a one hundred percent balanced architecture that allows it to deliver a power of 75 continuous watts per channel. On the other hand, the open structure of its extruded chassis brings simultaneously beauty - with a perfect integration with the rest of the models of the series to which it belongs, that is to say the Foundation - and a rigid foundation for the two 6H30 attack valves and the Four KT150 output valves used.
