A superb stereophonic power amp that masterfully exemplifies Audiolab's heritage in designing and manufacturing extraordinarily musical amplifiers at an unbeatable price point and the iconic minimalism that characterizes the industrial design of the British brand's productions. Capable of delivering 140 continuous watts per channel into 8 ohms accompanied by high current delivery capacity, the 8300XP is capable of authoritatively attacking a wide range of loudspeakers while preserving an exquisite neutrality that immerses the listener in musical performance. With an exceptional build quality that guarantees, together with the careful selection of critical components, consistent reliability, the 8300XP also stands out for the flexibility of use provided by its provision of balanced and unbalanced line inputs, a double set of connection terminals to loudspeakers to facilitate bi-wiring and a pair of inputs for a 12 V trigger signal. Another particularly noteworthy element that reflects the purist vocation at the highest level of this Audiolab stereophonic stage is the OCC copper cabling (Ohno Contiuous Cast) used to carry the power and audio signals, a real luxury in a product of this price. The 8300XP is completed with another functionality that the most demanding fans will celebrate: the possibility of operating in bridged monophonic mode, which by increasing the output power to 480 continuous watts over 8 ohms, allows to attack particularly “difficult” loudspeakers or fill with sound larger rooms keeping distortion under control.
