Considered by the prestigious British specialist publication Hi-Fi + as a “genuine world-class high-end product”, the M6s PRX is a 230 watts continuous per channel power amplifier over 8 ohms of which m and especially its exclusive power source stands out. feeding. With a high-quality metal construction matching that of the rest of the Musical Fidelity M6s range, inside the M6s PRX we find the same double mono topology used in the best power stages of the brand. But what truly makes the difference in this amplifier is its innovative CRPS power supply, acronym for “Choke Regulated Power Supply”, in which a choke coil is used, a component that offers high resistance to alternating current and a very low resistance to direct current, thus providing a tremendously effective solution to noise present in power supplies. Chokes were very common in tube electronics, but Musical Fidelity has used them for the first time in a solid-state design. The CRPS also provides an outstanding level of filtering and rejection of the signal coming from the electrical network, guaranteeing a very low level of background noise and immunity against airborne interference. The result is an extremely rich and relaxed sound.
