Description

The newly launched X-P1200 preamplifier is the epitome of our engineering excellence. Designed as a reference stereo preamplifier, it actually consists of two mono preamplifiers integrated into a single compartmentalised housing, ensuring total isolation between the various circuits and preamplifier stages. This design ensures greater channel separation (crosstalk), thus providing a superior stereo experience.

The X-P1200 not only features independent preamp circuits for the right and left channels, but also features completely independent power supplies thanks to the use of two transformers. It offers 9 analogue inputs, including 2 balanced XLR inputs, a USB B (XMOS) input, 2 coaxial digital inputs and 2 digital inputs. For output, users have the choice between a balanced XLR output or an unbalanced RCA output.

Every detail has been meticulously considered to ensure that this preamplifier is the standard for high-end audio systems: from the mains input with choke and capacitor filtering, to the two high current capacity toroidal transformers and the filtering comprising 4 x 12000uF / 150V capacitors. The processing of the digital sources is done by an Analog Device AD1955 DA to AD converter, especially suitable for high-end and SACD applications.

The quality of the digital-to-analogue conversion is exceptional, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 123 dB and first-class audio quality. It incorporates a multibit sigma delta modulator, high-performance digital interpolation filters and continuous-time differential current output DACs. For playback of audio files from PC or MAC computers, XMOS, a leading solution in the field of high quality audio playback, is used.

The X-P1200 will undoubtedly combine perfectly with the X-A1200 mono unit to create an exceptional Hi-Fi system.
