New expression of the profound redesign to which the legendary Norwegian firm Electrocompaniet is subjecting all models of its iconic Classic Line, the ECP 2 MKII is a very high-performance phono preamplifier with balanced and unbalanced line outputs, intended for who want to take the musicality of the vinyl record to its last consequences. But what undoubtedly allows this refined electronics to make a difference is that it has been conceived to accommodate any combination of pickup and connection cable thanks to the enormous configuration flexibility offered by its input stage. A flexibility that speaks loud and clear about the high number of values for the different available settings, which allow the user to select, regardless of the pickup capsule of their equipment, the most appropriate resistive load, capacitive load and gain settings for obtain optimal sound. Another significant aspect of Electrocompaniet's new phono preamp is that it strictly follows the RIAA equalization curve, to which a sharp cut-off subwoofer must be added to eliminate potentially harmful signals.
