JMF AUDIO PCD302. Dual Channel Power Line Distributor and Conditioner
For more than three decades, JMF Audio has focused on audio signal amplification and transport, building a reputation for natural music performance among music lovers, audiophiles, and studio professionals. Over time, questions about the influence of the electrical network on the perceived sound quality became frequent. So we decided to study the subject, for our own good, for the satisfaction of our customers, for the music. We measured, we analyzed, we listened, we made correlations. Addressing power line issues, as well as ensuring musicality, posed a considerable challenge.
We can now say that no matter how optimized an audio system may be, it will only reveal its full potential with a clean, disturbance-free power supply. Following the success of the PC3 power cable for the significant improvement in sound quality it provides, JMF Audio offers the total answer: the PCD302 Line Distributor and Filter, a unique concept in the world!
The PCD302's exclusive bidirectional and independent filtering principle suppresses network disturbances from outside, as well as interactions between audio devices.
Double section concept
Each section is powered by a PC3 cable (assembled to the chassis)
Phase detection on each input
JMF Audio BDF223 Bidirectional Filtering
The PCD302 contains 6 large BDF223 filters, hand wound
10 filtered outputs of which 6 are fully independent
Sequential power supply to limit inrush currents into the network
Chassis size and front panel identical to HQS6002 and HQS7001 power amplifiers
Single button on the front panel to turn the main power supply on and off
Mounted on suspended frame, acoustically floating, vibration free soundproof box
Total supported power: more than 7 kW
Automatic 100 to 240 V AC operation
Elegance in the concept
With a simple gesture, on the button on the front panel, the PCD302 can start and stop an entire JMF audio system, without the risk of cutting the power line, without the risk of “pop” in the speakers.
The sequential switching on of the outputs ensures an excellent distribution of consumption peaks.
The PCD302 is built on the same chassis as JMF power amps, for a consistent stack.
Easy to install
Two LEDs on the rear panel light up in case of phase reversal. The phase is marked at the level of the output jacks.
Automatic 100 to 240 VAC operation allows for simple and safe installation.
A clear and extensive owner's manual is provided.
Majestic listening result
Wide soundstage, clean, silky, full, deep bass. I can think of it as the typical contribution of a JMF audio component.
While many renowned high-end filters and conditioners provide a slight improvement, at best people who have had the right to hear the PCD302 in our auditoriums or in their homes have been overwhelmed!
JMF Audio components are fully handcrafted in our workshops and pass strict tests. Since revision B, each unit is tested for over 100 hours of listening in our studios, ensuring that its future owner will only receive the best.
