Based on the award-winning M-DAC, the M-DAC + is a multi-application digital audio processor –DAC- for home use designed to be installed alone on a desk in an office or studio or to be integrated into a Hi-Fi system. It incorporates a high-performance audiophile-grade digital preamplifier and an output stage designed to optimize connection to an external power stage, as well as a high-quality headphone output. Like its predecessor, the M-DAC + mounts one of ESS Technology's renowned ES9018 Sabre32 Reference D / A conversion “chips”, still considered the best component of its kind currently available. A "chip" that is surrounded by careful circuitry that far exceeds what can be found in products of the same class and price and which highlights refinements such as a custom-made master sync clock to minimize "jitter". To all this must be added the significant sound customization options provided by seven filter positions for PCM files and another four for user-selectable DSD files. The M-DAC + is completed with a J-FET-based Class A output stage so that the analog signal from the DAC is as rich and natural as possible.
