State-of-the-art acoustic panels
- Versatile, full-spectrum acoustic solution
- Self-compensating approach using proven technology
- Precision manufactured product using advanced techniques
An innovative solution to a common problem
Acoustic problems are a widespread concern in most audiophile listening rooms. Traditional solutions are often complicated, bulky, unaesthetic and difficult to implement. In fact, they often make the situation worse. LeadingEdge acoustic panels promise to offer a lightweight, simple and effective solution to these problems.
With over 40 years of experience and a proven track record in large-scale architectural acoustic projects, from concert halls to banking interiors, the company is well positioned to apply its technology to the domestic listening environment.
What makes these panels different?
What distinguishes LeadingEdge acoustic panels from other domestic products is their aerodynamic approach, which smoothes and calms the airflow in the room, acting in the velocity domain rather than the pressure domain. This has two crucial implications:
- Acoustic panels are effective over a wide range of frequencies, thanks to the resistance they add to the movement of air particles.
- They are self-compensating and act only where there is an acoustic problem.
"...these products have fundamentally improved the performance of the system...they have made me re-evaluate my priorities..."
Steve Dickinson, Issue 96
"I can't go into detail... but the results were impressive."
Alan Sircom, Editor, Issue 90
Despite their simple appearance, the panels consist of thousands of micro-perforations with a honeycomb cellular structure, the result of precise technology and calculations.
Lightweight and versatile, they offer fixed or portable solutions to acoustic problems.
Positioning and mounting
LeadingEdge acoustic panels are positioned at mid-points in the room, where the velocity of air particles is greatest. This defies conventional expectations of placement, concentrating less in corners and more in areas where pressure changes are lower. They can be surface mounted or suspended from the ceiling for optimum performance.
Size and colour options
Available single or double sided in three standard sizes and various colours, they are sold in pairs with feet as standard, with additional mounting kits available at extra cost.
