Designed to supply extremely clean power to up to six compatible Pro-Ject components (five sources+preamplifiers and one turntable), the Power Box DS3 is a linear power subsystem equipped with a generous toroidal transformer and highly sophisticated filtering circuitry totalling 10,000 uF. Add to this a soft-start system (which prevents potential current surges) and a very precisely regulated voltage rectification, as well as the use of low-noise shock-protected device elements, and the result is an impressive improvement in the final sound with the added bonus of tidier cable management. Like all products signed by the Austrian brand, the Power Box DS3, which is presented in a highly rigid metal enclosure, is entirely designed and built in Europe.
