Sopra Nº2 sets a new standard in high-end floorstanding speakers, marking a milestone with its innovative technologies patented by Focal. This new release redefines performance with modern criteria, compact dimensions, and a pure, customized design essential for seamless integration into any environment.
Equipped with Focal's latest midrange technology, including NIC and TMD technologies, Sopra N°2 surpasses limitations in sound reproduction, offering exceptional transparency in a compact speaker. Unlike the natural extravagance of Utopia, which is not constrained by size, Sopra presents itself in a compact design for easy integration into realistically sized environments.
Technological innovation in Sopra Nº2 includes the use of the Neutral Inductance Circuit (NIC) to stabilize the magnetic field, ensuring stability and reducing distortion effects. Additionally, the Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) technology addresses the complexity of the midrange, controlling resonances in the suspension without compromising definition.
Infinite Horn Loading (IHL) achieves infinite loading of the beryllium tweeter, using a rear cavity to gently absorb the tweeter's back wave, reducing distortion and improving definition.
Sopra Nº2 achieves dense and astonishing bass through two 180 mm woofers equipped with NIC magnetic circuits, maximizing the cabinet's capacity. With a 69 mm thick Gamma front panel, significant inertia and optimal definition are achieved.
The design of Sopra Nº2 goes beyond aesthetics and shape, prioritizing performance. Manufactured in France, these speakers are crafted masterfully in the workshops of Bourbon-Lancy's cabinetry, using methods similar to those of the Utopia line.
Sopra Nº2's architecture focuses on the middle section, crafted in injected polyurethane, allowing the tilting of the high and low enclosures to achieve the acoustic convergence of the channels. In summary, Sopra Nº2 embodies excellence in high-end floorstanding speakers, offering unparalleled performance backed by Focal's expertise and innovation.
