RAIDHO ACOUSTICS X2t

The X2t does everything the compact X1t does, only on a higher level. In addition, the X2t has dual woofers so you get much more bass power and a larger scale for the music.

RAIDHO ACOUSTICS X2t

The two 5.25" subwoofer units of the new X2t now have a tantalum coating. Tantalum belongs to a class of metals known as refractory metals, which are defined by their strong resistance to heat and wear. It has a melting point of 2996 °C, the fourth highest of all metals. This makes the membrane much stiffer and stiffer without adding weight, thereby raising the breakdown modes to an incredible 15 kHz.

The new X2t crossover has quality components that outperform many other loudspeakers up to 80 000 EUR. On the back you can see the point-to-point wiring that is all done by hand. Furthermore, the use of Nordost cable in the crossover is very unusual and reveals the enormous attention to detail. Needless to say that the internal cable is also from Nordost with Nordic technology, which is also used in the Nordost Valhalla models. Truly remarkable.

Complete loudspeaker reset

A special feature of Raidho among the floorstanding speakers is also the use of a 2.5-way construction. This guarantees a very coherent sound from top to bottom, as both speakers emit bass, but only the top speaker emits midrange. The decoupling of the speakers is integrated in the feet. Therefore, there is no need for spikes to achieve the best result, because this is done with metal balls, on which the speakers rest.

The new X2t may not look that different from the original X2. But in reality, the only thing that remains the same is the visual appearance. The sound performance, on the other hand, is on another planet.

Raidho X-Series Driver

The technology used in the X-Series driver is not only highly advanced and built in-house in Denmark, it is also a work of art. The result is that the speakers disappear even further from the equation, creating a soundscape with no audible distortion and an all-black background that will bring out the instruments and create a holographic soundstage. Raidho's Ceramix technology starts with a thin aluminium cone and then uses a liquid plasma process and incredibly high voltage to transform the outer layer of metal into aluminium oxide ceramic. It's a slow and expensive process, but the finished cone is a unique natural sandwich, with thin, stiff layers on either side of a "softer" aluminium core, creating a stiffer structure with excellent self-damping. Breaks first come in at an incredible 12.5 kHz. The motor system consists of strong neodymium magnets concentrated around a very open system, allowing ventilation of the driver with the benefit of cooling the titanium voice coil and eliminating some of the design that usually causes distortion.

The legendary Raidho ribbon tweeter

The proprietary ribbon tweeter is a unique Raidho design. It is completely designed and hand-built in-house in Denmark. To be exact, it is a planar magnetic tweeter due to the tracks in the foil. The foil has a thickness of 11 microns, which means that it has a mass 50 times less compared to a conventional dome tweeter. This is due to the fact that there is no voice coil and the extremely low weight of the foil (20 milligrams). The result is that there is virtually no resonance or distortion, and the break-up point is at an incredible 82 KHz! What you hear is an incredibly clear and natural sound - all the detail in the world, but with no fatigue, no distortion and no colouration!
