The reality is that for many sound lovers, the restoration of the lowest frequencies contained in any musical or audiovisual recording is still more a question of quantity than of quality. The British Richard Lord did not think the same when in the mid-eighties of the last century he founded a company dedicated solely and exclusively to the manufacture of subwoofers, thus demonstrating a non-conformist spirit that in the end served him to acquire a enormous competitive advantage for the audiovisual times that followed, in which the component in question became nothing short of essential.
